The Cooperative seeks to etch out space for community across our specialised silos. One of the great challenges in modern communities – small and large – is making time and space for us to simply find each other. Creative collaboration is only possible when we can meet and think together, when we can hear from each other and experiment with other ways of being together in the world. We seek to set a large table and invite collaborators into relationship. As we work together, we will also invite collaborators to develop plans for social action and change, leading to liberating social outcomes.
In the coming months, you will be invited into numerous online conversations, with interactive workshops, panel discussion, and lectures streaming from The Cooperative hub. You will find more information on our events page.
On this website, along with the publication of research and resources for your community, we will publish three new conversation pieces each week – The Opinions, The Forum, and The Gallery – each offering an opportunity for reflection and public engagement. And don’t forget to follow us on FACEBOOK or INSTAGRAM and SIGN UP for our weekly newsletter.
A number of our events will also be filmed and available to watch anytime on our YouTube Channel.
Town Hall Meetings
Whether streamed online or held onsite, our Town Hall Meetings will bring critical topics into public discourse. Rather than replicating debate like environments, our panel of speakers will be invited into collaboration together, with specific guidelines for both panellists and audience members to participate. See our events page for the next Town Hall meeting.

Representing a wide variety of topics related to the public good, and led by a different person each month, our book club is a great space for bringing diverse groups together and into The Cooperative. This is a space for us to build community and learn from each other. The Book Club is held on the first Sunday of the Month from February to November and you can register your attendance here. Our upcoming book club selections for 2021 can be viewed by downloading the PDF.
We’d love to come you! How can we help you enter a creative collaborative space? Whether it be for academic research, a community service project, or an event related to faith and spirituality, we’d like to share our learning and services. Contact us here to invite us on a road trip. Road Trips will launch in 2021.
