Julia Baird’s Phosphorescence is full of personal stories of encounters with beauty that illuminate hope in situations of darkness. She emphasises the stillness of nature as the place to experience awe and wonder. In this video, Stevie Wills reads her poem, Story, which explores the moment of stillness as an encounter with the sacred.

Stevie Wills is a performance poet, public speaker and writer. She advocates for the inclusion and empowerment of people with disabilities in Australia and for those living in developing countries. She has cerebral palsy. Stevie works for CBM Australia as a Community Education Officer. She has a Diploma in Christian Counselling and is currently studying some subjects in Community Development at Eastern College.
