Biennial Theology Series

Our biennial theology project is titled Uncommon Goods: crisis and public theology. 

Crisis And Public Theology

Framed around three interconnected focus areas, the two-year series will incorporate three Brisbane theology conferences, internationally hosted panels, online digital projects, and will culminate in a 2024 publication.

The focus areas are as follows:

  1. Public theology and empire (which includes our 2022 conference)
  2. Public theology and abuse (which includes our 2023 conference)
  3. Public theology and social works

We are inviting all contributors to conceive of these focus areas broadly and creatively, welcoming approaches that disturb boundaries and think with and beyond the public of public theology.
